We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Area Manager to join our team. The role will be based in NSW looking after 7 stores across Western Sydney and ACT.
In this exciting role looking after Max Brenner and Cakes by Max Brenner stores across Western Sydney and ACT, your key mandate will be to provide leadership and drive, create and maintain the highest level of guest experience, through a professional team of Chocolate Cafe Managers, while assuring the profitable management of the Chocolate Cafes.
Your main accountabilities as an Area Manager will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure Chocolate Cafes are delivering the Max Brenner experience to all guests
- Enforce Max Brenner policies and procedures
- Enforce compliance with all state and local government food handling and safety regulations
- Ensure Chocolate Cafes are achieving and exceeding sales targets and budgets
- Report as required on all operational indexes (sales, budget, labour costs, stock, wastage, service etc.)
- Communicate upcoming promotions, strategy, targets, and information as required to Chocolate Cafe Managers and ensures all relevant information is passed to Team Members
- Identify and rectify operational issues that may impact sales, safety or brand equity
- Promote and ensure a safe, productive, respectful and happy workplace
- Ensure all company policies and guidelines are being followed
- Provide and implement operational solutions to constantly improve service efficiency and profitability
- Recruit, train, mentor and provide feedback to Chocolate Cafe Managers to ensure the highest levels of competency and performance
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all Chocolate Café Managers, Shift Supervisors and Team Members
- Manage the operational process for new store openings
About You:
- A minimum of 3 years relevant hospitality/QSR management experience
- Experience in multi-site café
- Exceptional customer service skills and relationship building skills
- First class written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as a key representative of the company in VIC
- Proven people management skills with the ability to train, lead, motivate and develop staff
- Proven experience with improving sales and profitability
- Sound knowledge of food safety regulations
- You will be enthusiastic and flexible, with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Experience with cost control
- Ability to interpret P&L’s and financial data and prepare/analyse reported data
- Strong problem-solving skills and full of initiative
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
- A love of all things chocolate is a MUST!
