Area Manager

Part of the CSR family, our Masonry & Insulation Business Unit comprises of Bradford Insulation, PGH Bricks and Monier Roofing. We manufacture and market a full range of products for residential applications including a large range of products and systems that cover insulation, construction fabrics, ventilation, bricks and rooftiles.

About the role:

Based at Orange & reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the account management of the Masonry & Insulation Customers throughout the local and surrounding regions whilst overseeing the branch warehouse operations, that includes a direct report of a Branch Controller.

You will also be responsible for the sales performance in the segment through preparation & implementation of tactical plans to deliver agreed objectives in compliance with management expectations & CSR policies, standards and procedures.

As a high-performing and driven personality, you'll bring dedication to offering excellent service to our customers. Flexibility is key, as this role will require travel, and attending various trade shows & customer events, that may be outside of working hours.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Analyse market opportunity & business performance with financial data & reporting systems
  • Execute sales & marketing plans for segment
  • Monitor & report on sales performance against targets for current period
  • Monitor customer & market activity and feedback via CRM
  • Develop & implement actions to deliver agreed goals & rectify divergence to plan
  • Ensure customer account plans & call cycles are implemented & actioned
  • Ensure appropriate debtor management & performance
  • Manage relationships and expectations with a broad client base
  • Resolve issues & complaints with clients
  • Drive constructive culture across region & state
  • Identify & execute opportunities for new customers & product growth with existing customers

About You:

  • Previous experience within a similar role & within the building products or construction industry - advantageous
  • Proficient with CRM software & Office applications (intermediate excel).
  • Self-starter with a high energy & a will to succeed.
  • Familiarity with sales performance metrics.
  • Merchandising skills and experience
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a focus on the customer.
  • Negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills and experience.
