In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, we are seeking an Area Manager to support our Retail Services and National Clothing Store Services contracts.
Reporting to the Regional Manager Retail Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring Retail Service delivery requirements of Retail Stores and National Clothing Store Services contracts, contract performance and compliance under the guidance and direction of the Regional Manager Retail Services.
This is a permanent, full time role based at either Victoria Barracks or Simpson Barracks, with travel required to other Defence sites such as HMAS Cerberus, RAAF Williams, East Sale.
Duties:
- Under direction responsible for managing, directing and co-ordinating the operational aspects of the regional network of regions and sites delivering Retail Services required under the Retail Stores and National Clothing Store Services contracts.
- Manage service delivery performance for the respective services to ensure overall business achieves the performance commitments of all contractual agreements.
- Responsible for compliance monitoring, verification and reporting of operational performance standards.
- Ensuring operational adherence to Ventia and client policy and procedures.
- In collaboration support the development, improvement, communication and education of processes and procedures relating to service delivery.
- Analyse contract performance, recommend improvement strategies and contribute to product innovation.
- Interface and liaison with stakeholders on day-to-day matters and issue resolution
- Provide guidance ensuring effective, efficient, and best practice contract, business and people management aligned with Ventia management processes.
- Implement continuous improvement and innovation events and work with Ventia and regional stakeholders to implement business improvement.
- Ensure positive client and customer relationships.
- Interface across Ventia's peer network contracts to ensure local connectivity, alignment of approach and service synergies across the contracts - with an aim to maximise client and customer experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in logistics or a related discipline desirable.
- 3+years Industry experience and subject matter expertise in a logistic environment and people management.
- Comprehensive understanding of logistics, business management and project management.
- A high level of computer literacy and ability to utilise technology to support the development and delivery of service delivery.
- High level of competency in Microsoft packages including Office 365, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- MILIS, SAP / ERP experience (desirable).
- Experience with Defence ERP, Inventory.
- Industry experience, vocational currency, and subject matter expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management, negotiation skills and relationship building.
