Crownland Security provides armed mobile patrols and alarm / emergency response services in marked and unmarked vehicles, working in pairs, as well as, ‘solos’. Solo’s are Security Officers on motorbikes who predominantly focus on Rapid Response to alarms and back up existing static Security Officers and other patrol units in and around the CBD.
Crownland Security is also one of the only security providers who uses drones as part of its mobile patrol and alarm response fleet.

FULL TIME / PART TIME / CASUAL POSITIONS
We are seeking reliable, disciplined, mentally, physically and emotionally fit, security professionals willing to cover a 24-hour rotating roster.
ROSTERS
Candidates must be willing to work 24 gjour roster, weekday, weeknight, weekends and public holidays.
Crownland Security will invest in upskilling individuals based on their skill sets and career objectives, in line with business and client needs.
THE ROLE
The security objective is to reduce crime in and around the site. The position is primarily responsible for the safety and protection of people (residents, tenants, retailers, visitors and contractors), property and information. The role consists of security control room operations and providing a visible security presence (patrols), investigations, security audits, report writing, emergency and crisis management across multiple towers.
The Security team work very closely with various speciality units at Victoria Police and assist in criminal investigations.
The successful candidate must be well-presented and available to work a 24/7 rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
Guards are required to conduct patrols of common areas at regular intervals to ensure security and:
- Have a visible presence around the site
- Control room duties.
- Report / record all unusual occurrences
- Investigate incidents reported to security team
- Respond to noise complaints and security breaches or breaches of the Owners Cooperation rules
- Conduct property inspections with landlords
- Respond to emergencies
- Complete Crime Stoppers Reports
- Collect evidence and maintain evidence register
- Provide security escorts for residents and staff
- Make safe all hazards and notify supervisor
- Perform other duties as required
- Interact with key stakeholders including management and emergency services
- Conduct information sessions and contribute to the quarterly security newsletter
- Contribute to the Monthly Security Report for the Owners Cooperation
- Liaise with emergency services
- Attend meetings and contribute to the overall growth of the business
- Practice and implement health and safety processes including risk assessments
- Foster a high standard of service delivery based upon a collaborative approach
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Armed Guarding Licence
- Current First Aid
- Driver Licence – Motorcar
- Reliable vehicle
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in armed guarding
- Must pass “Fitness Test” which involves strength, stamina and suppleness
- Must maintain ‘0’ tolerance to
ESSENTIAL
- Security Licence Requirments - Sub Activities:
- Armed Guard, Cash-in-Transit, Control Room Operator, Monitoring Centre Operator
- Excellent communication skills
- To be able to work as a team and autonomously
- Time management and prioritisation skills
- Show initiative in work practices
- Ability to draft reports which are clear, complete, concise and correct.
- Knowledge in the use of computers and office software
DESIRABLE
- Security Licence Requirments - Sub Activities:
- Private Investigator
- Bodyguard
- Certificate IV in Security & Risk Management
- Driver Licence – Motorbike
