This is a vacancy for Permanent Part Time appointment at 30.4 hours per fortnight.

About this role

We are seeking a dynamic Art Therapist to join our team. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will develop and provide art therapy / therapeutic arts services to patients of the State Forensic Mental Health Service.  You will plan, implement and evaluate patient safety and quality of care. An an Art Therapist you will ensure practice is in accordance with current relevant practice standards and codes of ethics. 

This role reports to Allied Health Coordinator.

We are seeking highly motivated Art Therapist with experience in assessment, planning, interventions, and programmes for individuals.  Knowledge of Art Therapy theories, models, and practices relevant to adult mental health consumers is essential to the role.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
