ABOUT THE ROLE

• Lead Test Automation: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test policies and plans for technically complex digital solutions supporting the Digital Programs development teams.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct testing, validation, and sign-off processes for software product development and release readiness across both product release and Agile sprint cadences.
• Test Strategy and Planning: Offer expert advice and guidance on all aspects of test planning and execution, including defining and communicating project test strategies.
• Continuous Automation Testing: Plan and execute automation test scripts as digital products evolve, ensuring test data supports various scenarios.
• Create and Manage Test Cases: Develop test cases using thorough technical analysis of functional and non-functional specifications (e.g., reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability, portability).
• Innovative Testing Approaches: Think creatively to identify and test functional edge cases outside of expected workflows, recording and analyzing test activities and results, and reporting associated issues and risks.
• Develop Test Scripts and Regression Packs: Produce test scripts, materials, and regression test packs to evaluate new and modified software or services.
• Collaborate with Product Team: Work alongside the product team to demonstrate working software in agile ceremonies and Change Advisory Board meetings.

ABOUT YOU

• Proven experience in Test Automation and quality assurance, preferably in a state government setting.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing test plans, test scripts, and test data for complex digital solutions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and test edge cases.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ceremonies.
• Experience working with both functional and non-functional testing aspects.
