AddressAsphalt Labourer - Council
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Asphalt Labourer to join the road maintenance team for a local council. You will be responsible for assisting with the installation and repair of asphalt surfaces on roads, pathways, and parking lots across the city.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use hand and power tools to prepare surfaces for asphalt, such as grading and compacting
- Load, unload, and transport asphalt and other materials
- Operate and maintain asphalt equipment, such as pavers, rollers, and trucks
- Follow safety procedures and comply with council regulations and standards.
- Work cooperatively with other crew members and supervisors
- Perform other related tasks as required
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Asphalt Labourer or similar role
- Knowledge of asphalt materials, methods, and techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driving licence and white card
- Availability to work Tuesday to Friday, 06:00am to 03:30pm
