About the role:
As the Asphalt Plant Operator, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of batching and overseeing plant operations while maintaining meticulous administrative records. Your duties will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing plant maintenance and administration, including batching processes, storage, loading, docketing, and record-keeping.
- Calibrating and operating the Asphalt Plant efficiently.
- Monitoring and maintaining fuel records to ensure smooth operations.
- Timely completion of all administrative tasks.
- Providing support to the Production team to ensure efficient asphalt production.
- Cultivating relationships with key customers and fostering a customer-focused culture within the Production group.
- Demonstrating effective communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Exhibiting leadership qualities, including the ability to lead, instruct, and manage a team effectively.
Key Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience as a Plant Operator in asphalt production, with proficiency in computer-controlled production and batching.
- Current White Card and certifications in
- Forklift License with operating experience preferably.
- Front-End Loader License with operating experience preferably.
- Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude will be highly regarded.
- Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and compliance with safety requirements.
- Ability to work towards and exceed monthly tonnage targets.
- Reliable transportation, as public transport options are limited.
- Willingness to undergo Drug and Alcohol and Pre-Employment Medical assessments.
- Preparedness to complete a National Police Clearance.
