About the position

Position Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure efficient business operations and achievement of targets and objectives, including oversight of various departments and teams.
- Contribute to the development of short-term and long-term strategic plans in conjunction with senior executives and mentors.
- Monitor financial performance including budget and cost control along with financial reporting. Ensure the prompt monthly close out of accounts with the finance team.
- Drive behaviours within the operational team that contribute to the profitability of the business unit.
- Hiring, training and managing of the team to ensure a positive and enthusiastic work environment that encourages teamwork.
- Set performance expectations and ensure accountability through feedback, professional development, and task management.
- Maintain and ensure operational efficiency through processes, procedures, workforce allocation and empowering team members.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, address concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Maintain quality standards for products and services to meet customer expectations and comply with any regulations.
- Develop sales strategies, identify opportunities, and run a process for developing new business.
- Identify potential risks to the business and implement risk management measures.
- Ensure a strong safety culture throughout the workforce and manage safety risks to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure effective communication with team members and managerial staff including reporting on performance, goals and challenges.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards and maintain ethical business practices.

Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience working in a team leadership role.
- Excellent financial proficiency and the ability to interpret and act upon financial data.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a relevant field.
