- Development of contingency and rehabilitation strategies and plans, operational procedures, asset class plans, renewal, capital expenditure and whole of life asset costing schedules and business case development
- Development of asset registers including asset numbering and naming conventions
- Asset condition assessments including qualitative desktop assessments, quantitative field works (destructive and non-destructive testing), stress analysis such as FEA, statistical analysis (such as Weibull estimations) for asset types including:
- different pipe materials and channel types
- concrete and steel structures
- pump stations
- Implementing risk assessments, root cause analysis, FMECA, failure mode and failure mechanism analysis
- Project management skills
- Assessment of water balance and economic level of leakage using non-revenue models
- Asset reliability analyses
- Optimisation of maintenance schedules and water network operations
- Application of geographical information systems and associated platforms (i.e. MapInfo and ArcGIS)
- Advanced analytics and optimisation modelling
- Understanding of safety requirements for site inspection work and construction work related to asset rehabilitation
- Tertiary qualification (i.e. Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering or equivalent)
- Proven relevant Asset Management experience, engineering consulting experience an advantage
- Have an excellent understanding of hydraulic principles, materials assessment; pipe materials knowledge such as cast iron, asbestos cement, ductile iron, steel, polymer pipes
- Previous Australian utility sector experience an advantage
- Excellent understanding of concrete assessment; knowledge of concrete deterioration mechanisms, inspection techniques and rehabilitation strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with specific experience in writing quality technical reports
- Willingness to broaden experience in the asset inspection and design disciplines
- Possess strong statistical and data analytics skills
- Ability to operate independently to provide sound technical outcomes
- Have excellent time management practises and be self aware of commercial and scope constraints
- Alignment to organisational cultural values and ethics.
