Asset Engineer - Renewables

Opportunity for a Junior level Asset Engineer to join a global renewables company and work across a portfolio of wind, solar and BESS projects

Role:
Due to continued growth the Asset Management Department is looking for an Asset Management Engineer has created the need for an Asset Management Engineer who will assist Asset Managers with a range of tasks. These may include implementation of system and process improvements, optimisation and automation of routine tasks such as reporting and performance analysis, and involvement in the general day to day operation of large scale renewable energy assets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop automated tools for reporting and generator efficiency modelling
• Develop automated tools for market settlements review
• Network analysis to understand system constraint impacts
• Market analysis of pricing trends and impacts
• Asset Management System development
• Support Asset Managers in the implementation of the company Asset Management System
• Participate in operational risk reviews
• Support implementation of contract management systems
• Undertake minor improvement projects
• Verify contractor reports and participate in meetings
• Site visits to wind, solar and BESS assets across Australia
• Track and oversee HSE actions

Experience:

• Engineering degree related to electricity generation (electrical / mechatronics / control / utilities)
• MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint – highly proficient
• Proficiency in English (written and oral)
• Excellent communication skills
• Developed data analytics skills (Python / advanced analytics packages looked upon favorably)
• Quick learning and autonomy – working independently once task is explained is a must
