We’re looking for a collaborative team member to join our Regional South, Delivery Zone 2 Team based in Naracoorte.Our Road Maintenance Directorate is responsible for overseeing all aspects of state-wide road maintenance activities across the Department’s 23,000-kilometre road network and 4 Delivery Zones. This involves the performance and compliance of network maintenance contractors and coordination of actions across the department to deliver required asset outcomes for customers and stakeholders.Zone 2 Regional South covers the regional areas south of a line roughly between Port Wakefield, Burra and Renmark, including the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula south of Moana and Seaford.These roles assist in the investigation, assessment, and planning for the enhancement of road assets, ensuring their sustainability for the long term. This includes opportunities to contribute to the development and continuous improvement of road-related assets, while collaborating with a range of stakeholders to drive impactful change.These roles utilise expertise in road construction, maintenance, and traffic management to identify technical deficiencies and implement effective solutions. This work is key in ensuring the integrity and sustainability of our assets for the long term. The successful candidate will demonstrate a skill set that includes technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal skills, applicable or transferrable across road construction, maintenance, traffic management, and technical planning investigations. This includes the ability to identify problems, analyse complex issues, and develop sound recommendations based on approved methodology, standards, and policies.The successful candidate will demonstrate the capacity to work autonomously or as part of a team, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines and achieve objectives. This call is being advertised at the PO2, TGO3 and ASO4 classification levels and the successful applicant will be appointed at the classification level commensurate with their qualification(s), skills and experience.For appointment to the role at the PO2 classification level, a degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline is required.For appointment to the role at the TGO3 classification level, a relevant Diploma or Advanced Diploma or recognised qualification appropriate to the Construction/Engineering Technology Career Group is required. This may include but is not limited to: engineering design/drafting, estimating/specifications, construction and support, road construction and/or maintenance, traffic management and road safety auditing.Special Conditions
This role is located in Naracoorte.Possession of a current driver’s license and willingness to drive is required.Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check (NPC) prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.Remuneration
PO2 - $86,950 to $96,223 per annum
TGO3 - $82,915 to $87,539 per annum
