We are leading the way in New Energy – Our pipeline for the next 3-5 years is exceptional.As we continue to deliver & evolve, we are looking for an experienced Permit Commissioning Officer to join our Collie BESS team.UGL promotes diversity and alternate ways of working including part-time.About the roleLocation will be Collie project siteThe Permit Commissioning Officer is responsible for managing and developing the electrical safe systems of work in conjunction with developing and co-ordinating the permit system for the project in accordance with the specified requirements and client expectations.Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Implement and manage an electrical permit system
- Participate in weekly Safety Inspections and Task Observations with the project delivery team to provide advice, guidance and support in identification and rectification of issues
- Manage Lock Out Tag Out requirements, develop HV and commissioning permit procedures and manage the Notification of Energisation process (NoE)
- Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
- Electrical Trade Qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience within a similar Major Project environment
- Ability to develop and manage electrical safe systems of work including but not limited to the Electrical Safety Management Plan and associated procedures
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
