Our client is an Ipswich-based government organisation whose strategy is to build community engagement through collaborative conversation. They work across planning and property, civil infrastructure, flood recovery and emergency management projects. They are looking for an Asset Inspection Officer to join their Asset and Infrastructure services team working across a range of projects.
Your new role
In your new role you will be undertaking field inspection on a range of civil infrastructure assets including, roads, footpaths, earth embankment dams, bridges and a range of other structures. In addition you will be responsible for monitoring the asset conditions and determining maintenance requirements. The role also entails assisting the engineers/officers in the preparation of assessment condition briefs as well as effectively identifying civil infrastructure defects to ensure safety.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will ideally have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in the Civil Engineering field or equivalent experience
- C Class Drivers Licence
- General Construction Induction Card
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and digital tools to compile inspection records and reports
What you'll get in return
Our client is offering the opportunity to work with a well-established Asset Management team on a variety of projects. They are offering an initial contract until June 2024 with potential to extend further and are offering a competitive hourly rate.
