Job description

  • Play a leading role in the lifecycle management of Councils buildings, and Open Space assets.
  • Full time | Permanent | Wonthaggi | Flexibility and Hybrid arrangements available
  • $90,722 per annum plus Superannuation

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you passionate about enhancing community infrastructure and preserving Open Spaces for generations to come? We are seeking a dedicated Asset Planning Officer to oversee the management of building assets, Open Space infrastructure, tracks and trails within the Bass Coast region.

In this role you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive asset management plans, with a focus on ensuring the longevity and functionality of Council buildings, as well as the preservation and enhancement of Open Space infrastructure, tracks and trails.

You will work closely with Service Managers and other senior Council staff to develop renewal and upgrade programs consistent with The Council Plan, Asset Management Plans and the Long-term Financial Plan.

ABIT ABOUT YOU:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or similarly related field; or substantial experience and knowledge of infrastructure asset management; asset management plans and the Road Management Act, regulations and plans;
  • Sound understanding of Asset Management Principles;
  • Excellent written and well-developed verbal communication, stakeholder management and customer service skills;
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills that provide innovative solutions;
  • A sound ability to utilise MS Office, contract management, asset management and GIS programs as well as other specialist Asset Management software as required.
