Bowen Rail Company is growing our Network Team. We are seeking an Asset Systems Coordinator to join our team in Bowen North Queensland. Reporting to the Asset Management Principal (Network), this role is responsible for the configuration and management of accurate asset data in software and systems, performing data collection, validation, and asset health reporting for assets on the Carmichael Rail Network.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance and ongoing improvement of asset data records in Asset Systems
- Develop and maintain the integrity of the asset register against asset management standards in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate the implementation of Technical Maintenance Plans (TMP’s) and Maintenance Matrices in Asset Systems and ongoing review to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Utilise Asset Systems to gain efficiencies and promote transparent sharing of asset data across all network roles.
- Perform in-field validation of assets through data collection including defect identification, deterioration monitoring and condition assessment.
- Manage network asset health dashboard ensuring accurate data is uploaded in a timely manner.
- Assist with inventory configuration and management for Network assets.
- Ensure all asset configuration change records are updated and current.
- Curate maintenance and asset record systems (SAP & SharePoint).
- Provide support to the Network team for preparation of end of month financial reports and accruals.
- Data entry where required (defects, notifications in SAP).

- Current Open ‘C’ Class Driver’s License
- SARC - Safely Access the Rail Corridor (Nationally Accredited) or ability to obtain
- RIW Card (Rail Industry Worker Identification) or ability to obtain
- Demonstrated experience with asset management frameworks and/or asset management systems to industry standards
- Proficient in-field asset data collection with experience in defect identification/condition assessment preferred
- Computer proficient (advanced Microsoft Office, computerized maintenance management systems)
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and as a part of a team.
- Attention to detail, with emphasis on accuracy and productivity.
- Effective time management, organisation and ability to multi-task.
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
