Job description
We are looking for a Graduate Accountant to work on a permanent part-time or full-time basis. This job role can suit somebody who has recently graduated or a university student who has experience working with Xero and Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, driven, and possess strong coordination skills. As Graduate Accountant at The Star Care Group, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our team and managing key responsibilities, including:
Raising invoices in accordance with agreed terms.
Allocation of payments received, keeping assets record.
Approving timesheets and completing the Fortnightly Pay run.
End-to-end accounts payables, receivables, and related duties
Accounting data entry, Inter-company reconciliation
Maintaining Accounts Receivable and chasing payments
Preparing Service agreements and send them to client via adobe.
Assistance with monthly journals and GL reconciliations
Renewing registration and insurance of company motor vehicles.
Preparing and Lodging Business Activity Statements.
Preparing the Income tax return.
Entering employees' details into the accounting software.
Processing Superannuation payments
Maintenance and Inspection reports of the company’s residential facilities
Provide ad-hoc support to other members of the Finance team, including opportunities to learn and take on new responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualifications, Bachelor, or Master.
Minimum 6 months of experience with Xero or MYOB
High degrees of accuracy and attention to detail
Proactive approaches to problem-solving.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
A proactive and can-do attitude.
