An opportunity has become available for an experienced and professional Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team at our Central Office, located in Glenside.
About the role
The role of this position is to perform part of the accounts receivable function and other selected accounting and computing functions of the finance department:
- Processing of the organisation’s centralised Accounts Receivable function in the CIM database
- Daily reconciliation of main bank account to the general ledger
- Monthly processing/reconciliation of transactions for other bank accounts.
- Participation in business improvement projects
- Government advice including processing department letters, medicare claim forms, following up with departments on variances

About you
We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
The successful candidate will have the following experience & skills:
- Degree in Accounting/Commerce
- Proficient in computerised accounts receivable functions including: receipting, billing, reconciliations, journal preparation, research & resolving of discrepancies to the point of balancing, financial general ledgers, accounts payables reporting and alpha filing
- Ability to supply supporting documents for audits or other purposes
- Demonstrate understanding & experience of ATO guidelines
- A basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards as are applicable to the role
