The Company
An exciting opportunity to work for a dynamic and growing award winning Australian construction company who are located in Richmond very close to public transport and car parking.
This organisation who really looks after their people are seeking an Office Coordinator/Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Manager with financial administration as well as supporting the wider team with reception and administrative tasks.
This is a brand new opportunity within the business, so you have the ability to make the role your own. It will initially commence as a temporary role with the view to extend/go permanent.
The Role
Working closely with Finance and Office Manager, your main duties will include but not limited to:
- Reception duties - answer and direct phone calls, sort mail, order office supplies, coordinate meeting rooms, book couriers, ensure the kitchen is tidy at all times
- Process invoices into Jobpac via OCR Processing
- Assist with maintaining subcontractor information
- Liaise with subcontractors for insurances
- Track invoices and maintain current creditors
- CABNs on ABN Lookups
- Bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Debtor and creditor support
- Management Accounting/Budget support to the Finance Manager
- Finance reporting and reconciliations on Investment Properties
- Distribution of letters and document management
What do I need to be successful?
- Proven experience in a finance/Assistant Accountant/bookkeeper role within a corporate environment
- Degree qualified in related field would be highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and exposure to JobPac system is desirable
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Ability to build positive relationships, negotiate and problem solve
- Flexible and a professional attitude with an ability to promote a positive reputation throughout the business
