Role Summary
This role goes above and beyond that of a typical AP role. We are looking for someone analytical who will constantly assess how the system is serving the team and make suggestions for improvement. If you are ready for that next step in your career or have a passion for solving problems, then this is for you. Ideally, you will have experience using an ERP system and be able to hit the ground running. This role reports to the Financial Controller in Hyzon Motors Australia.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for end-to-end Accounts Payable processing, including entering and coding invoices, weekly payment runs, staff expenses, 3-way matching, and vendor statement reconciliation
- Responding to suppliers' queries in a timely manner
- Ensure invoices and payment requests are complete and in compliance with the financial policies and procedures
- Providing support to internal stakeholders with any purchase order/receipting/payment queries or issues
- Supporting month-end tasks, including preparing general journals, AP accruals, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliation, etc.
- Identifying errors and making process improvements
- Assisting monthly payroll and weekly payroll
- Other projects and ad hoc tasks
Skills and abilities required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in the manufacturing or related industry is preferred
- Experience with an ERP system would be preferred
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Good work ethic, ability to problem solve and identify errors
