La Renaissance Patisserie, The Rocks, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Cafe/patisserie shop manager, to work 38 hrs/week casually - full time can also be discussed (5 days per week). The successful candidate must work on Sundays, and the remaining 4 days during the week.
This is a long term position - we will not consider any applicants who are unable to stay in the business for more than 12 months.
This position is available as either full-time or casual if you prefer. You must have at least 2 years of hospitality management experience.
Known for our excellence in providing Sydney's finest cakes and patisseries, La Renaissance aims to provide the highest standards across all aspects of the business. We are a passionate small business and looking to hire someone with previous experience in a hospitality managerial position, outstanding customer service skills, initiative and a love of patisserie and French food. You do not need to speak French, however any interest or prior experience with French cuisine is helpful.
Our assistant shop manager must be willing to work the majority of their role as a hands-on position in the cafe, and is responsible for:
- day to day management and training of the casual waitresses
- customer orders, feedback and complaints
- full product knowledge, including allergens and ingredients of all pastries/cakes/savouries
- rostering front of house staff for two locations
- staff training, troubleshooting and updating for all iPads/software systems in use.
- managing and dispatching cake orders
- displaying products for special occasion dates
- receiving and handling phone calls from clients when office staff are on other calls
