Sherwood Coffee is a collective of local Newcastle Cafes. Starting with one location in 2018 to now 7 local Sherwood venues we have seen exceptional growth and look to continually expand throughout our local suburbs and regions.

We are looking for full time Café Managers and Assistant Managers to join us as we grow throughout Newcastle and The Hunter

Managing the day-to-day operation, rostering, training, and ordering stock with a hands-on approach and eagerness to lead a team.  

This is a great opportunity for a customer driven, sales focused and experienced person to join our established management team.

Hours: Monday - Sunday on a rotating roster, with two consecutive days off, a range of shifts available and no shifts finishing later than 4pm.

Key Responsibilities are not limited to:

• Manage, coordinate and supervise staff rosters & shifts
• Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
• Assisting in maintain stock control through monitoring of wastage, effective ordering/receiving and storage procedures
• Management of suppliers, deliveries, invoicing etc
• Managing product and venue presentation and cleanliness.
• Induction and training of new staff and maintenance of service standards through ongoing training of all staff.

About You

• Hands-on management style and team player with strong leadership skills
• Previous retail supervisory experience
• Rostering, cost management, Point of Sale software knowledge. 
• Previous Retail Supervisory Experience
• Passion for the food and beverage industry and a creative flair 
• Coffee Genius 
• A professional approach and an enthusiastic work manner 
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
