St Augustine's Outside School Hours Care is currently looking for a dedicated and self-motivated individual to join our team as a permanent Assistant Coordinator.
Our centre, located in Augustine Heights, offers before school care, after school care, and vacation care services to up to 120 children. We are committed to creating a happy and safe environment that supports the well-being, learning, and personal development of primary school-aged children.
Position Details:

- Location: St Augustine's Outside School Hours Care, Augustine Heights
- Hours: Full-time - 38 hours per week
- Remuneration: As per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010, Level 4.1 to 4.3 - $29.1505 to $34.3947 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
- Program planning, delivery, and documentation.
- Staff rostering and supervision.
- Administration and financial management tasks (e.g., fee collection).
- Assisting in the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, educational program.
- Providing children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
- Promoting the service within the local community in alignment with the Vision, Mission, and Values of Catholic Early EdCare.

- Forge a collaborative Partnership with the Archdiocesan of Brisbane for Graduate Internships and Brisbane Catholic Education, enabling participation in their Graduate Program.
- Gain practical hands-on experience while studying your bachelor’s degree. There are 8 areas of study that are approved as relevant qualifications for working with school-age children, for example early childhood education and care qualification, behavioural science, community services, creative arts/ fine arts/ drama or music, nursing/ physiotherapy/ occupational therapy/ diversional therapy or speech pathology, primary/ secondary or special education, sport and recreation and human welfare studies and services.

- Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis certification.
- Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Coordinator.
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations.
- Experience in the education and care of children.
- Effective computer skills, including experience with child care management software (Xplor preferred).
- Effective workplace communication and leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to make persuasive and appealing presentations.
