Total Remuneration Package: $298,647 - $334,801

Key senior legal executive roles leading a specialist legal division at the Crown Solicitor’s Office (“CSO”)
An exciting opportunity exists for you, an experienced senior legal professional, to join the CSO as a member of the Executive Group and lead a legal division in the delivery of specialist legal services.
At the CSO, we deliver a diverse range of legal services on behalf of NSW Government; from providing legal advice, representation in litigation, inquests and inquiries, to negotiating property and commercial transactions, drafting documents and agreements. We also operate in a commercial environment and deliver non-core legal work to government agencies.
About the Roles
We are seeking to fill two Assistant Crown Solicitor roles to lead the Civil Law & Commercial Strategy Division and the Public Law Division.
As Assistant Crown Solicitor, you will lead and direct several specialist Legal Practice Groups in the provision of high quality, timely and client focussed legal advice and representation, to support the achievement of our business goals and organisational performance. You will also proactively engage with key clients to maintain and build strong relationships and lead practical legal services that are responsive to client needs.
As a member of the CSO Executive Group, you will participate in decisions relating to the strategic, operational and financial management of the CSO and provide executive input into corporate, business and annual operating plans to support the Crown Solicitor as the preferred provider of legal services to the NSW Government, whilst operating successfully in a competitive commercial environment.
You will also champion positive change, engagement, and inclusion within the division and across the CSO.

Note: The Assistant Crown Solicitor, Civil Law & Commercial Strategy also has responsibility for the CSO’s Marketing & Communications Team (including Business Development) to support internal and external marketing and communications and tender and compliance activities. The role also has responsibility for delivering strategies designed to build strategic partnerships and increase commercial opportunities for the CSO in the provision of world-class legal services.
