We are looking for a dedicated ECT/Assistant Director to join our dedicated team!
Our beautiful early learning centre, located in Woden, is currently seeking an exceptional candidate to become the centre’s 2IC. Your role will be to support the Centre Director and provide leadership to the education team in the day to day running of the Centre. We require someone who is experienced, energetic and has a good sense of teamwork and knows how to have fun.
Work Days of the Role Full-time part-time would be considered for the successful candidate.
Hours of Work of the Role 37.5 per hours per week
Description We seek an experienced Early Childhood Professional to:
- Work collaboratively alongside the dedicated and experienced Director, Early Childhood educators and the Centre's management Committee.
- Support the Director and the Centre’s Management Committee in the management of the Centre and assume overall responsibility for the centre in the Director’s absence.
- Lead, mentor, collaborate and support the Centre team.
- Ensure the Centre complies with the National Regulations and Laws
- Drive continuous improvement and a better practice approach.
- Role model best practice
- Create a fun, interactive and stimulating learning environment with the Early Years Learning Framework in mind.
- Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our children.
- Cultivate and maintain meaningful, positive relationships with families and the wider community.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with ACT Community Services and other relevant bodies.
Qualifications Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent)

Required Skills, Key Responsibilities and Experience:
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within the Early Childhood
- Comprehensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and Education and Care Services National Regulations
- Have experience as an Assistant Director, 2IC or leading a team, include recruitment of new employees.
- Ability to update and monitor Centre Polices
- Commitment to excellence in Early Childhood education and a strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Passionate about promoting children’s development and learning.
