Assistant Director of Nursing

Primary Care Partnerships Unit are looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing to join their team. The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) provides contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for the Primary Care Partnerships Unit within an expansive and/or complex environment. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, the role provides the coordination and responsibility for service delivery, human and material management, expertise in health care team communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision.

About the Role

• This position has operational responsibility of approximately 20 FTE and professional or indirect reporting of 75 FTE.
• Responsible and accountable for Primary Care Partnerships Unit cost centre management in accordance with Metro South Health (MSH) Financial Sub-Delegations Manual and MSH Human Resource Sub-Delegations Manual.
• Responsible for portfolios and other duties as delegated and/or directed.
• Collaborate with nursing and midwifery colleagues, interdisciplinary stakeholders, committees and advisory groups which support operational and strategic functions of the Patient Flow & Central Clinical Services.
