About the Role
The Patient Flow Program (PFP) provides support to clinicians across the QEII Hospital with Patient Flow strategies and technology. The PFP is affiliated with the Metro South Health (MSH) PFP. The PFP clinical areas include:
- The Duty Nurse - Patient Flow Unit (DN-PFU) which coordinates the flow of patients into and out of acute beds; locally, nationally and internationally and daily resources.
- The Transit Care Hub (TCH) which provides the entry and discharge point for patients who are non-day of surgery, requiring outpatient appointments or day procedures.
The ADON has highly developed data analysis skills providing high level advice on the Patient Flow program strategy to the Director of Nursing and executive team regarding hospital access agendas.
