Duties & responsibilities
- Able to manage multiple projects at any one time.
- Fluent with interpreting council requirements, engineering and consultant reports.
- Able to develop concept sketches from client briefs, whilst complying with relevant codes.
- Able to prepare DA plans and working drawings.
- Maintain relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
- Be able to work independently and unsupervised whilst remaining accountable and part of a team.
The ideal candidate
- Proficiency in ARCHICAD is a must, with a minimum of 3 years operating this programme.
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of professional work experience within a Project Building company and/or Drafting firm.
- Knowledge and use of Current Australian Standard Building Codes and Practices is a must.
- Technical writing skills, with the ability to source, comprehend, and apply relevant Covenants, POD, Building/Development, and/or SEPP Codes to project tasks.
- A solid understanding of construction methods.
- A portfolio of work showing the type of work performed, and references supporting work experience and portfolio.
