Due to significant growth and demand within our South Australian business, we are seeking a Graduate Project Engineer to join the team.
About the Role
The successful Graduate Project Engineer’s role will aid the Project Engineers, Project Managers, Operations Manager and Construction Manager in the project life cycle. The role will include, but is not limited to the following:
- Tendering projects as required
- Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines. Assist in project planning and scheduling
- Site Inspection: Regularly visit the construction site to inspect ongoing work and ensure that it complies with the approved plans, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Quality Control: Monitor and manage construction quality, materials, and workmanship to ensure that the project meets the specified standards and codes
- Supervision: Oversee construction teams, subcontractors, and laborers. Coordinate and manage their work to ensure tasks are completed as per the project schedule
- Safety Compliance: Assist with and enforce HSEQ protocols and regulations on the construction site to protect workers, equipment, and the environment
- Cost Management: Monitor project costs and expenses, helping to ensure that the project stays within budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities when possible
- Material Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers to order and track the delivery of construction materials, ensuring they are on-site when needed
- Progress Reporting: Maintain detailed records of work progress, construction activities, and any issues encountered
- Client Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients, providing project updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of project documentation, including drawings, permits, contracts, and change orders
About You
To be successful in this role you must have the following:
- Completed a Civil Engineering or construction Management Degree
- Reliable vehicle
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Highly effective written and verbal communication
- High level of attention to detail, with the ability to organise, prioritise workloads and demonstrate effective time management

Successful candidates will be required to undertake a full medical including drug and alcohol testing before commencement.
