Regional Early Education and Development (REED) is a multi-site Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) service with currently 25 centers located throughout Regional Western Australia.
Our mission is to deliver high quality and sustainable ECEC services by contributing to the development and well being of children (who are the future), while building relationships with families and communities in Regional WA.
THE POSITION
We are currently seeking applicants willing to begin, currently enrolled in or completed their Certificate III in ECEC to work as Assistant Educators for our REED-Northampton Service. Under the guidance of the Group/Team leader they will help deliver high quality ECEC services.
REMUNERATION
The position is casual. Salary levels are dependent on experience and all conditions are in-line with the Children Services Award 2010.
About the Position - (ANZSCO 421111)
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver quality care and educational programs for children, under supervision of the Team Leader/ Qualified Educator
- Assist in providing a vibrant, interesting, varied and appropriate children’s program that is developed and implemented to meet the ongoing needs of the children as per the Early Years Learning Framework
- Ensure that the philosophy, policies and procedures of the service are upheld, implemented and reviewed regularly to meet relevant requirements
- Assist to maintain compliance with the regulations as prescribed by the Education and Care Regulatory Unit along with all legal and statutory requirements
- Actively contribute to the quality and success of the service
- Provide input into the Quality Improvement Plan for the service in consultation with all team members on a quarterly basis.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALITIES, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Certificate III in ECEC or willingness to obtain.
- Current Working With Children's Check
- Current Police Clearance
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Certificates.
- Cultural awareness
