The course is one that the Canterbury Bankstown Council own and is managed independently via contract by Stacey Holdings Pty Ltd - Geoff Scott PGA Life Member
I am seeking a Full-Time Assistant Greenkeeper/Groundsperson to join our small team. As a full-time employee, you will report directly to the course Superintendent. Your responsibility is to assist in our course maintenance, care and overall presentation. I am looking for the person to be reliable, have a strong work ethic, able to work independently with an eye for detail. The position will be 36 hours per week, Friday & Saturday day's off, all days with a 6am start, Sundays 6am course set up approximately 3 hours (payment for 4 hours, time & a half).
DESIRED SKILLS- Certificate 111 Turf management
- Experience working on a golf course
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, detecting diseases & chemical spraying.
As the person works in a small team, flexability with working hours is desired, be a self starter and have pride in their work, knowledge of WHS standards and have a valid drivers license.
RESPONSIBILITIES- General mowing duties and maintenance of all playing surfaces
- Maintain irrigation system
- Identify turf diseases & control such
- Maintain machinery & work shed in an orderly clean manner
- Perform general and additional duties as requied by the superintendent.
