About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Senior School Teacher to join our school as the Assistant Head of Department – English. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Department to provide curriculum leadership and ensure the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning experiences for our students. Your role will involve overseeing administrative tasks, leading department staff, and integrating technology into the teaching and learning process. About You

You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:

• Strong leadership qualities to provide critical support to the Head of Department and effectively lead the department's staff
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to implement initiatives, project delivery and change management
• A high degree of technical knowledge and a commitment to ongoing professional learning
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to advise and liaise across all levels of an organisation and with parents and guardians
• The ability to work collaboratively with other members of staff and lead others
• Administrative and organisational skills
• Commitment to the full life of an Independent school and a willingness to engage in School activities out of regular hours

• Appropriate qualifications

• A current National Police Check; and
