Assistant Holiday Park Managers (Couple)
What are we looking for?
We currently have an opportunity for a full-time role as Assistant Managers (couple) at the BIG4 The Bend Holiday Park. The Assistant Manager roles covers two people, and we are willing to be flexible about how you allocate responsibility for the duties of the role between yourselves. Traditionally the role has been split between administrative and customer service, and then grounds and maintenance. A brief description of how you may choose to spilt the duties below. Together the Assistant Managers will assist the Managers of the Holiday Park to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers. This position offers the chance for the right couple to gain valuable management experience within a Holiday Park environment.
Example allocation of duties:
Role 1: The first position is predominantly reception and administration with some cleaning
- Reception
- Multi-tasking and responding to enquiries, feedback, phone calls and emails
- Checking in guests and processing payments
- Packing cleaning bags and park laundry
- Opening and/or closing the reception and reconciling banking and cash sales
- Coordinating cleaning staff and assisting with housekeeping duties when required
- Assisting cleaning staff with cleaning of amenities as required
- Supervising waterpark/pool area when needed
- Attending to after-hours enquiries from guests at the park when required
- Being "on call" on rostered nights
Role 2: The second position is predominantly a mix of groundskeeping and maintenance of the park grounds and pool with some cleaning as required.
- Undertaking gardening maintenance and renewal projects
- General maintenance and repairs
- Mowing and gardening
- Cleaning and maintaining pool area and nature park
- Maintain a clean and presentable park
- Assisting cleaning staff with cleaning amenities if needed
- Supervising pool area if needed
- Attending to afterhours enquiries from guests at the park when required
- Being "on call" on rostered nights
Any changes to these roles and responsibilities must be reviewed and approved by the CEO.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- The ability to work unsupervised and maintain exceptional standards across the park.
- The ability to multi – task, prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Holiday park / accommodation experience desirable.
- Grounds and general maintenance experience.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel and other office applications.
- Current police clearance, or able to obtain one.
- Current first aid certificate, or able to obtain one.
- Driver's licence.
- DCSI clearance for working with children, or able to obtain one.
