The Opportunity
In this role you will assist our patients with a range of duties in the perioperative setting.
As an AIN, you will assist with observations, pre and post op patient care, set up equipment and rooms, unpack stores or assist with general ward duties to ensure our Nurses are available to deliver exceptional care. You will also assist with administrative tasks when required.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate nurse to gain valuable experience within a supportive team in an acute care setting.
Your Skills and Experience
- Be enrolled in a Diploma of Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing course and have completed some clinical placement time
- Have an interest in furthering your career in the Perioperative nursing specialty
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Available to work a flexible roster
- High level of interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively according to directions
- High level of customer service and excellent time management skills
- Understanding of infection control principles
