You will be encouraged to think innovatively whilst developing and maintaining best practice.The Manager Fleet Planning is responsible for coordinating a range of strategy and planning activities associated with the Jetstar Group Fleet planning. Working closely with the engineering, customer, finance and group fleet teams, you will participate in aircraft specification decision forums for both existing and new fleet types, ensuring compliance to all regulatory requirements and alignment to network strategy for the airline. The role will also actively participating in the development of network strategies and capacity planning to understand fleet needs.The core responsibilities of this role are:Airline experience, with a strong desire for Engineering or Flight Operations backgroundGlobally recognised university degreeAirline modelling and systems experience advantageousSuperior Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skillsData analytics expertise highly regardedTo be considered for this role, you will need:In-depth knowledge of the airline industry and the Asia Pacific marketTalented leader, capable of delivering business targets, while also motivating & developing peopleProven ability to consider analytical inputs and diverse qualitative inputs to make top quality decisionsStrong technical understanding of aircraft performance and engine lifecycleUnderstanding of key commercial drivers for an airline, especially inter-dependency of network and fleet strategies to drive successful outcomesDemonstrated decision making ability and proactively driving outcomesBalanced risk appetite with willingness to take carefully measured risks and apply learnings to future decision makingResilient, capable of effective leadership in a dynamic business with evolving challenges and prioritiesAbility to work diplomatically across cultures with international based stakeholdersAbout JetstarThe Jetstar Group has airlines in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan.
