- Assisting and supporting Registered Nurses (RN) in the provision of safe, quality patient care.
- Assisting with the coordination of clinics and patient flow through the clinics and treatment floor - ensuring patients have arrived for appointments, measurement of vital signs if deemed competent to do so, patient rounding, offering of refreshments, ordering of stock and supplies for the unit, ensuring the unit is restocked and finalisation of clinics, but not limited to within their allocated Specialty Clinic in MCCC.
- The role is patient centred, uses clinical problem solving, adopts effective communication and time management, manages up to date clinical notes and scheduling information and contributes to the multidisciplinary team
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistant or working towards OR
- Currently or has undertaken study as an Undergraduate Nursing Student or Diploma of Nursing Student
- Previous experience working as an AIN in a hospital environment
- Knowledge of Infection Control procedures and processes
- Exceptional communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other health professionals, patients and relatives/carers
- Skills to assist with the management of stock
