Fairfield Hospital is currently seeking Undergraduate Assistants in Nursing dedicated to play a vital role in the delivery of high-quality patient care.The role entails actively participating in the planning, implementation, and assessment of nursing care in collaboration with a diverse healthcare team.Emphasizing evidence-based practices and cultural sensitivity, the Assistant in Nursing will contribute to achieving optimal patient outcomes.Effective communication is key, as they engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team in a person-centered manner to ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, and exceptional care.Working under the direct guidance of registered nurses and working within your Scope of Practice, you will take responsibility and accountability for clinical practice, critical reflection and your professional development.You will be confident in escalating issues and ensuring the provision of safe, quality, patient centered care and be engaged with the responsiveness of care needs.Where You'll Be Working

View our for information on how to respond to criteria and . * Certificate III Assistant in Nursing - Acute Care or current enrollment in and successful completion of at least 2 semesters of a Bachelor of Nursing with a satisfactory academic record (please upload with your application).

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
  • A thorough understanding of scope of practice and demonstrated ability to work within scope boundaries.
