This role is based in Katherine, NT. This work stay Village is an extremely busy property providing accommodation and food & beverage.
About the RoleThis position involves a mix of indoor and outdoor functions - at times grounds-based with a maintenance focus and at others housekeeping, F&B, front office and customer focused.
This position is DIDO for 2 weeks at the property and one week off.
For the 2 weeks you are working on site we provide you with accommodation(single) and meals and as such, you will be fully immersed in all aspects of park operations.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Exceptional customer service - provide excellent service and efficiently handle guest enquiries
- Front Office management - all aspects
- Park Operations – being hands on, efficiently delivering all services related to running the property i.e. grounds upkeep, maintenance, housekeeping and Food & Beverage
- You will contribute to a positive and energetic team culture
- Support/lead the team in the absence of the Village Manager
- On-call shifts will form part of the job requirements
We are looking for an individual with the ability to lead the team, be involved in all aspects of site operations and manage the property in the Manager's absence.
You will bring to the role:
- Demonstrated skills and experience in hospitality management or other related industries
- Proven and demonstrated experience in managing, developing and training staff
- Strong computer skills including experience using accommodation reservations systems
- Experience in and a willingness to carry out Housekeeping, grounds upkeep, maintenance and F&B activities
- A flexible attitude to work hours (including weekends and after hours)
- Knowledge and understanding of WHS and responsibilities
- A drivers licence is essential
- A love of customer facing communication, and the desire to be part of an energetic team
