SalaryAn exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Assistant Manager (Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services) to join the Infrastructure Management Division Team at the Hervey Bay or Maryborough Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- Assist the Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) Manager to manage and coordinate building, engineering, and Maintenance Services for the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service with delegation for Fraser Coast BEMS. This includes a comprehensive asset management service including strategic asset replacement planning, programmed maintenance, corrective maintenance, and minor new works management within the service area.
- Ensure relevant infrastructure statutory and safety requirements for building and engineering services are met including the continuity of essential services.
- Provide advice and specialist support, coordination and management in relation to capital and minor works projects and service delivery of engineering services.
Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from date of appointment for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases ( https://tinyurl.com/yc6pgyt2 )(VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).
From 9th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB). Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $144,003 p.a., comprising salary between $117,824 - $126,212 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO6) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment for 12 months with the possibility of extension) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
