About the Centre
Casey ARC is part of the ONE Casey Leisure Facilities located in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne. Facilities include a 50m pool, wave pool, program and toddler's pools, large health club with group fitness and indoor cycling rooms, café and childcare services.
About the role
The Assistant Manager is an integral part of the facility leadership team. Assistant Managers will manage and lead teams of employees as well as other centre leaders in assigned areas and ensure that the delivery of the programs and services meets agreed standards.
They will lead, inspire, and motivate teams through clear and achievable team goals and ensure high standards of implementation of Policies and Procedures. Assistant Managers will support the Centre Manager by working as part of the Manager on Duty roster, where they provide support to customers and staff across all areas of the facility as well as being responsible for satellite facilities such as Outdoor Pools. Assistant Managers will regularly act as a delegate or deputy of the Manager.
This position is being offered on a full-time basis with a total remuneration package of $98,019 (incl super).
About you
This role will present a fresh and unique experience for a recreation professional to be able to be the driving force behind the opening of a new refurbish, state of the art facility in Melbourne’s East.
This role needs a strong leader with a drive to developing and upskilling a team. You will be highly visible within the centre and also within the local community, forming strong relationships and partnerships within the Y and the community.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in a similar leadership role within the Sports & Recreation industry will be highly regarded but if you have significant team leadership and budget management experience from a different industry, we would love to hear from you.
Tertiary qualifications in Sports Management, Business Management, or other related field will be highly regarded
Previous leadership experience is essential
