Assistant Manager Maintenance Services

• Assist the Manager to ensure the provision of quality, timely and cost-effective Maintenance services.
• Supervision and management of staff engaged on Community Services and Retirement Living maintenance tasks.
• Liaise with and manage the performance and ensure the accountability of external contractors.
• Liaise with relevant staff to develop scopes of work suitable for quoting/tendering.
• Undertake annual site inspections and maintain relevant asset condition records to inform Maintenance and capital expenditure budget.

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant experience in the operational management of multiple building assets.
• Ability to foster and provide leadership, direction and supervisory support to staff.
• Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy with regards to managing the delivery of concurrent facilities management projects.
• Working knowledge of Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and relevant legislation.
• Sound experience in providing direction and advice to professional services contractors and sub-contractors.
• Drivers licence and motor vehicle
