Due to exciting growth of the business, QinetiQ are looking for an Assistant Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join their Advisory services team based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Officer, you will focus on undertaking quality assurance tasks related to one of our Land programs, these tasks shall include the inspection and assessment of contractor delivered supplies. The tasks will be performed at the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) at Redbank Plains.
As QA Manager you will be accountable for:
- Analysing and reviewing vehicle and module delivery schedules in order to develop plans for the conduct of quality assessment activities
- Conducting physical product audits, inspections and assessments of material to assure compliance against specified requirements
- Interpretation of technical and performance data in support of quality assurance assessments
- Witnessing of testing at Contractor’s premises and other locations
- Evaluating and identifying actions to remediate quality assurance deficiencies and inform risk assessments
- Providing written audit reports
- Experience of working within a framework of legislation, regulations, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with Defence’s mission and business objectives
To be successful in the role of QA Manager you will need to bring with you:
- A trade qualification (mechanical/electrical/electronic)
- Experience in equipment maintenance processes
- Audit Team Leader Qualification
- The ability to work under general direction within a clear framework of accountability
- The motivation to plan own work to meet given objectives and processes
- The ability to influence customers, suppliers and partners at account level
- High level of personal integrity and professionalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable effective communication and interaction with other people at appropriate levels of the organisation
- The ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work under pressure and be able to plan, schedule and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- Willingness to take ownership of problems and resolve them in a timely fashion
Whilst not essential, Defence maintenance experience would be advantageous.
Candidates will need to hold a Baseline Australian Government Security Clearance.
