Symbio’s test results underpin consumer confidence, and the Quality Assurance team ensures the integrity of these transactions.

THE ROLE

Symbio Laboratories is seeking a QA Assistantto join the team at our Brisbane Head Office. 

Key duties:

1. Perform daily analytical tasks in the Quality Assurance Department, whilst providing quality services to our clients; 
2. Perform calibrations and checks of laboratory equipment and test equipment; 
3. Maintain the calibration schedule, and equipment and maintenance registers;
4. Conduct asbestos and foreign matter analysis;
5. Maintain sample integrity and traceability;
6. Assist with client-specific reporting requirements, proficiency test reviews, and tasks related to NATA accreditation;
7. Conduct internal audits when required, and assist with improvement of the Quality Management System.

ABOUT YOU 

The ideal applicants will have:

• Background or exposure to the food, agriculture or environmental industries;
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong problem-solving skills and organisational skills; and
• Attention to detail, and excellent computer skills;
• The ability to network with others, manage their own workload, multi-task and meet deadlines;
• The flexibility to travel.
