We are expanding and looking for a hardworking team member for a full-time position available for an immediate start in our Biloela store. For the past 36 years, we have been serving the Banana Shire community by focusing on people, being 'Mighty Helpful' and providing great customer service. The Mitre 10 group is Australia's largest independent home improvement and hardware wholesaler to the industry and supports an iconic network of over 700 hardware operators. Qualifications & experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a store/assistant store manager role.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of the Hardware Retail Industry & Building supplies industry.
- Sales focused and goal driven. Displays excellent interpersonal, communication and mentoring skills.
- A passion for creating a fantastic customer experience.
- A driver's license, forklift license, and MR license is desirable.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Supporting store owner by assisting in the day to day running of the store, supervising staff, leading by example, merchandising stock, local marketing, managing stock control
- Drive the retail business, sales and profit margins, contributing to the overall running and success of the business
- Ensuring the health and safety of fellow team members and customers as per in-house OH&S policies.
- Manage the Team and mentor staff as required
- Weekend management role on rotational roster
- Manage and oversee multiple departments including paint and providing services such as tinting paint, gas refills, pool testing, key cutting, etc.
