This large retail chain of companies located in and around the Adelaide Hills area are looking for an Assistant Store Managers to join their teams.
The role…
Reporting to and working closely with the Store Manager your role will be to provide essential leadership of the day to day operations and functionality of the store.
Responsibilities
- Help lead the day-to-day functions of the store
- Leading the team at the frontline
- Manage and direct day to day operations
- Ensure safe and healthy work environment for your team members and customers
- Step in for the Store Manager as required
- Stock control and ordering for the store
- Optimal product supplying and working with local suppliers
- Commercial acumen to ensure key metrics are achieved and service levels maintained
- Provide consistent and fair leadership
- Develop your team through mentoring and leadership
- People management and rostering
- Problem solving and dealing with customer queries
Overall, we are looking for someone who has experience in retail to lead and direct the work of others. The successful candidate will ideally possess coaching skills to drive a result that drives the team and encapsulates management behaviours.
· Someone with retail experience and a passion for customer service
· Sound computer literacy skills
· Strong knowledge and awareness of WHS
· Knowledge of food, health and hygiene beneficial
