You'll be responsible for

• Answering customer phone calls and assisting with their enquiries.
• Underwriting and assessing risk for Direct workers compensation clients in Western Australia, Australian Capital Territory, Tasmania and the Northern Territory, including new business and renewals.
• Processing workflows and answering phone calls to ensure delivery of quality products and services to Allianz customers.
• Accurately interpreting, anticipating, and providing solutions to customers’ needs from available information to design sustainable responses to suit customer circumstances and address their needs.
• Ensuring all business underwritten contributes to portfolio targets and profitability and that underwriting bias is given to risks that display better than average profitability through selection and prudent underwriting.

About you

• A curious nature and a customer service mindset with good phone manner/skills.
• Enthusiastic team player with ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high quality services and positive customer experiences to sustain and enhance the customer base.
• Prior experience within Claims/Dispute Resolution/Underwriting within the Insurance industry is highly desired.
• Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently within authority limits.
