Job description

Why you want this role:

If you’re looking for a challenging role with broad exposure to all aspects of financial advice/planning, mentoring from some of the best financial advisors in Australia (check the Top 100!), and proactive support to continue to develop your career… then this is the perfect role for you!

Our Wealth Advisory team is growing (+20% yoy for the last 4 years) and we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant / Associate Advisor to join our team!

You will be joining an outstanding team of high performing individuals with a long history of providing 'fee-only', client centric advice.

Under our own license, you will work closely with our Directors and Senior Advisors, to provide sophisticated and tailored advice to successful business owners, high level executives and ultra-high net worth families.

Highlights you need to know:

  • Clear career pathway to Advisor with educational support along the way
  • Professional year support
  • Collegiate, client centric advice culture – not a sales culture!
  • Opportunity to work on UHNW family (office) groups, business owners, executives as well as asset consulting/portfolio management for institutional investors
  • We have a proven track record of developing talented individuals into high-quality Advisors
  • Extensive in-house training covering investments, tax, structures (Trusts, Companies Partnerships etc), asset protection (using entities not just insurance), as well as the soft skills needed to engage with a client on an advice basis without ‘selling’
  • We advise on wealth creation, tax minimisation, superannuation (incl. SMSF specialisation), debt management and recycling, asset protection strategies that encompass far more than just money management and investment, as important as it is.

What you'll get involved with:

  • Attending and contributing to new and existing client meetings
  • Leading the client relationship in partnership with a Senior Advisor
  • Working with Directors/Senior Advisors to develop and produce high level and truly complex strategy advice documents
  • Investment analysis, portfolio construction and management
  • Researching and developing financial strategies across wealth accumulation, investment strategies, balance sheet re-structuring, debt management, estate planning, tax minimisation and asset protection
  • Providing strategic input to the preparation of client review documents
  • Implementation of client recommendations, including portfolio trading, to bring a strategy to life
  • Attending to client queries and liaising with other professionals to deliver great client outcomes

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • A degree in Commerce, Economics, or similar discipline preferred
  • 3+ years' experience working in the industry within financial planning/advice, superannuation consulting environment, technical role or accounting is preferable
  • A desire to invest in themselves as much as we will invest in them - which is a lot!
  • Exceptional client service focus and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Word, Excel and analytical skills
  • Personable and good fun people who want to build their careers with us!

A few Benefits waiting on your arrival:

  • Hybrid Working Arrangements - 2 days from home
  • Salary Continuance Insurance for all employees
  • Genuine career development opportunities
  • Access to an In-house psychologist - for personal, professional or career coaching discussions
  • Bi-Monthly Colleague Lunch
  • Dress for your day
  • Social Club events
  • Personal Training, Yoga, Run Club and more!
  • Mentorship
  • Cutting-edge Return to Work Incentive for primary carers
