About You

You are an Associate Advisor eager to embark on your professional journey, with aspirations of becoming a fully-fledged financial advisor. They have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and take the next step towards realising your career goals.


Selection criteria:

  • Experience Matters: You bring a minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in an equivalent role. You've honed your skills across various strategies and are ready to put your expertise to work; with an endeavour to become a financial advisor.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Xplan is favourable, showcasing your ability to navigate key tools efficiently
  • Detail-Oriented: You're an intuitive person with exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail, ensuring that no aspect of the advisory process is overlooked. You thrive in environments where accuracy is paramount.
  • Team Player: Collaboration is key, and you're known for your positive attitude and willingness to support your colleagues. You understand that success is a team effort.

About the Role

As an Associate Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional financial advice and service to our clients. You will work closely with a principal advisor to develop and implement tailored strategies that align with our clients' goals and objectives. Acting as the second chair in client meetings, you will provide critical support and ensure all client needs are addressed. Your responsibilities will include analysing clients' needs, goals, and objectives in partnership with the principal advisor, preparing well-researched recommendations, and developing comprehensive strategy presentations and SoA presentations. You will coordinate the lodgement of advice to paraplanning, review completed SoAs for accuracy and alignment, and oversee the implementation of strategies. Additionally, you will manage workflow within the team, ensure compliance with licensee requirements, and maintain high standards of regulatory compliance, as well as looking after existing client requests and post Review requirements with the administration team. Throughout all these tasks, you will be committed to delivering an exceptional client experience through diligent support, effective communication, and professional service. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a passion for financial planning. 

Responsibilities

  • Attend client meetings (initial, SOA & Review meetings) in support of the Financial Advisor
  • Prepare all relevant documents for client meetings (pre and post), as determined by the Financial Advisor
  • Discuss with the Financial Advisor appropriate advice strategies and products suitable to the clients’ objectives, financial situations and needs – ensuring to cover all clients observed and/or other clients as appropriate.
  • Prepare draft documentation for a variety of clients, including advice documents and other relevant client documentation, as determined by the Financial Advisor
  • Model advice strategies and research products that may be suitable for the engaged client’s financial situation, objectives and needs
  • Utilise risk Researcher, Wealthsolver and CALM charts in Xplan to successfully develop the Strategy Presentation as per the advice notes from the initial client meeting
  • Vet all advice and compliance documentation to validate it is a true and accurate reflection of the client, their individual circumstances, and the advice given by the Advisor
  • Actively participate in general administration and back-office activities for the business, with a focus on activities directly related to the provision of financial advice
  • Respond to, and resolve, ongoing client maintenance issues by communicating with clients and internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain client file notes in conjunction with the Advisor, and save all required pre and post implementation information to Xplan
  • Prioritize upholding ethical and compliance standards by proactively collaborating with the Advisor to identify any actions or inactions that breach the licensee standards.
