Associate Buyer

$72,000 – $80,000 + Super + Annual Bonus

Work across a national team
Entry level role into procurement.

THE POSITION

Assist in data gathering and spend analysis to support category management and strategic sourcing activities.
Provide overall administrative and project support to the fruit & vegetable portfolio.
Manage and coordinate the new supplier on-boarding processes and programs in accordance with company and supply chain policies.
Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on continuous improvement and creation of added value and innovation.
Support the client service team in resolving supplier performance related issues by reviewing root-cause and implement corrective actions where appropriate.

THE PERSON

1-2 years experience in a similar role.
Keen interest in food and culinary environment.
Intermediate/advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Great communicator – both written and verbal skills to work as part of a procurement team.
Ability to analyse situations and problem solve as required, work under own initiative.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Client and supplier focused.
Basic negotiation skills.
Relevant completed or partial tertiary qualification economics, CIPS, IFPSM or AAPCM qualification or equivalent is highly regarded but not necessary.
