THE POSITION
- Assist in data gathering and spend analysis to support category management and strategic sourcing activities.
- Provide overall administrative and project support to the fruit & vegetable portfolio.
- Manage and coordinate the new supplier on-boarding processes and programs in accordance with company and supply chain policies.
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on continuous improvement and creation of added value and innovation.
- Support the client service team in resolving supplier performance related issues by reviewing root-cause and implement corrective actions where appropriate.
THE PERSON
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
- Keen interest in food and culinary environment.
- Intermediate/advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Great communicator – both written and verbal skills to work as part of a procurement team.
- Ability to analyse situations and problem solve as required, work under own initiative.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Client and supplier focused.
- Basic negotiation skills.
- Relevant completed or partial tertiary qualification economics, CIPS, IFPSM or AAPCM qualification or equivalent is highly regarded but not necessary.
